Smoke

Smoke is an image that I think fits my concept very well. When we say goodbye, neither our feelings for each other nor our sadness for the moment disappear all at once, but slowly dissipate in the air like smoke. We will not suddenly lose contact, our relationship will only slowly fade. The thoughts of another person and all the memories we used to have are scattered in the air, accompanying every minute of our lives.

Lantern

Lantern have the meaning of praying for blessings in many countries, and this is what I want to convey. When we say goodbye, it is very important to send our best wishes to each other. We hope that the other person can have a better future and development.

Soap bubbles

Choosing the element of soap bubbles has two meanings. First of all, because I think farewell is soft, a mass of soap bubbles wrapping a person is what I think you will feel when you say goodbye. The second reason is that soap bubbles are fragile. It is very similar to the relationship between us and it is broken when touched.

This exhibit requires two people to operate. Each of them holds a wire, and then hugs or other farewell gestures that can touch each other. At this time, the base of the lantern will emit smoke and air. Smoke will fill the bubble lantern; the lantern will grow larger as more air is added. In the end, the bubble lantern will shatter, the smoke will drift with the wind, and the farewell between the two people will be completed.
